Article ID: 51539 - Last Review: August 8th, 2014

DESCRIPTION

The Enterprise Server examines SMDR records and raises an alarm when the SMDR clock appears to have rolled backwards.

This alarm only triggers if the SMDR records are in “Super-Extended with Seconds” format; without seconds on the records, the time is too imprecise and false alarms will be produced.

IMPACT

If this alarm was thrown due to a genuine clock rollback on the PBX, it could result in inaccurate reporting and real-time data.

TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS

Verify the clock on the Alarming PBX.  If the clock was rolled back, validate or fix the PBX clock before clearing the alarm.

1. Open the 3300 ESM.
2. On the left, click on System Properties => System Settings =>Date and Time.
3. If NTP Server, Time Zone, Date, or Time are incorrect click Change.
4. Correct Date and Time settings.
5. Click Save.

NOTE: In the case of Daylight saving time change, this alarm can safely be dismissed.
